How to Make Your Own Bath Salts
DIY Gift Idea: How to Make Your Own Bath Salts
One of the fun DIY projects I was assigned during my Skinny Cow Wocave Mission was a make your own bath salts kit I received from Herban Crafts.  I have to say that I haven’t done anything like this before and it was so much fun! I think this Herban Crafts kit would make a great gift.  Here is how to make your own bath salts.
Here’s What You Need
Materials:Â (provided in your kit)
- Lavender buds
- Sea salt
- Baking Soda
- Citric Acid
Equipment:
- Blender
- Mixing Bowl
- Sieve or strainer
- Metal or plastic spoon
- Jars (2 provided in your kit)
The kit came with everything I needed except for the equipment.
Make You Own Bath Salts Instructions
First, I ground half of the lavender buds provided in a blender (about .25 ounces) for one minute.
Next, I placed the ground lavender buds and sea salt into a mixing bowl.
I strained the baking soda with a strainer to remove the lumps and placed it into the bowl.
I mixed well, and then added the rest of the lavender buds until they were evenly blended.
Next, I put them in the two containers provided, and had enough to place more in another jar.
I decorated the jars with my ribbon, twine, and burlap.
Here are a couple after photos.  These were such a fun and easy homemade gift to make.  The kit is perfect for the crafter at heart.
A big THANK YOU to my sponsor, Skinny Cow for providing me with this kit!  Loved it! Check out my ultimate spa girls night that I made these for!
