DIY Wood Slice Snowman
Woo hoo! It’s the holiday edition of Craft Lightning! This time, our hosts are The Country Chic Cottage, 30 Minute Crafts, and co-host Aunt Peaches. Today I am sharing how to make this little DIY wood slice snowman in fifteen minutes or less.
Time: 15 Minutes
Materials:
- Small Wood Slices
- Hot Glue and Glue Gun
- Felt
- Scissors
- Ribbon
- Beads
I had these mini wood slices left over from the Winter Woodland Ornaments I made last year. They worked perfectly for this craft. The first thing I did was balance each piece on top of one another. I wanted to make sure my little snowman would stand up, so I tested and then glued the pieces together with hot glue.
Next, cut a rectangular piece of felt for your hat. The width should fit around the snowman’s head.
I glued it onto my snowman’s head, applying glue to the entire length of the bottom of the hat. This will ensure that your hat doesn’t pull up when you tie your ribbon.
Tie and trim a small piece of ribbon around your hat to cinch it together.
Using fabric scissors, fringe the hat.
I also added beads for buttons and a matching ribbon scarf. I was going to add eyes, nose, and a mouth but I just thought this little snowman was cute as is!
You can turn him into an ornament too!

Super cute idea! I’ve been looking something I could make my girl’s teachers and I think this is it. Perfect as an ornament, basket filler or gift topper. Thanks for sharing.
I love your idea of using it as a gift topper! Thank you, Sarah for stopping by!!
