Toy Story 4 DIY Hair Bows
Toy Story 4 DIY Hair Bows Tutorials for Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Forky, and Bo Peep
I have been partnering with Bounty Paper Towels for many years now. One of the perks of this was an invitation to see the World Premiere of Toy Story 4 on Hollywood Boulevard at the El Capitan Theater. I have to say; Toy Story 4 is my favorite of all four. Inspired by the movie, mingling with celebrities, and an absolute unforgettable experience with my daughter, I decided to make these Toy Story 4 DIY Hair Bows.
These Disney Bound hair bows are perfect for a trip to Disneyland or Disney World. Kind of like the Sulley Zip Up Hoodie I made.
Below is a full video tutorial plus materials list and instructions on how to make Toy Story 4 DIY Hair Bows inspired by:
- Woody
- Buzz Lightyear
- Forky
- Bo Peep
Forky and Bo Peep were new main characters in Toy Story 4, and my favorites of the four tutorials. Let’s start by watching the DIY video for all four hair bows.

After shopping around, I found that it was most economical and time saving to purchase premade large hair bows from Hobby Lobby for $1.99 each. For all four tutorials, you will need scissors, a hot glue gun, and glue sticks. Some of the materials listed have my recommended product affiliate links from Amazon.
Toy Story 4 DIY Hair Bow: Woody
Materials:
- Navy Blue Hair Bow
- Yellow Ribbon
- White Ribbon
- Red Ribbon
- Bandana Print Ribbon
- Orange Fine Point Sharpie
- Black Sharpie
- Straight Edge
Instructions:
I couldn’t find cow print ribbon nor, ribbon to match Woody’s shirt, so I had to make my own. For Woody’s shirt, I used a thin orange marker and a straight edge to make checks on approximately 9 inches of yellow ribbon. I also created a cow print with black Sharpie and white ribbon.
Fold each piece in half and glue them to the center. Each loop should be slightly shorter that the large bow. Next, I found red ribbon with a twine edge from Michael’s. I looped and glued this ribbon on top; once again slightly shorter that the last ribbon.
Lastly, I used a four-inch piece of red bandana print ribbon and tied it into a loose knot. Wrap it around the center of the bow, so that the knot is on top. Glue the back closed with hot glue.
Toy Story 4 DIY Hair Bow: Buzz Lightyear
Materials:
- White Hair Bow
- Bright Green Ribbon
- Purple Ribbon
- Blue, Green, and Red Felt Scraps
- Fabric Glue
Instructions:
First, cut both the green and purple ribbon and glue them in a loop to place on top of the white large bow with hot glue. Next, cut another loop of green ribbon slightly shorter that the last layer. For Buzz Lightyear’s buttons, cut three rectangles in red, green, and blue out of felt. Cut a small red circle for the other button. Glue the felt buttons onto the last green bow.
Lastly, I cut a four-inch piece of green ribbon and tie it into a loose knot. Wrap it around the center of the bow, so that the knot is on top. Glue the back closed with hot glue.
Toy Story 4 DIY Hair Bow: Forky
Materials:
- Light Blue/Teal Hair Bow
- Plastic Spork
- Two sizes of Googly Eyes
- Bendable Wax Craft Sticks
Instructions:
First, cut the handle of a spork off, leave about ¾ inch of the handle. Glue on two mismatched sized googly eyes. Cut the bendable wax craft sticks into the eyebrows and mouth and glue them on. Tie the red pipe cleaner around the center and hot glue it on the back. Bend each end into three finger hands. Slightly bend the arms at the elbow. Lastly, glue Forky onto the center of the bow.
Toy Story 4 DIY Hair Bow: Bo Peep
Materials:
- Light Pink Hair Bow
- Pale Blue Ribbon (thick)
- Light Blue Ribbon (thin)
- White Cord
- White Lace Ribbon
- Wire Hanger
- Wire Cutter
- Thick Marker
Instructions:
First, cut both the blue and white lace ribbon and glue them in a loop to place on top of the white large bow with hot glue. Cut another piece to drape down the ribbon sides and glue. Cut the ends into a “v” shape. Next, cut a four-inch piece of blue ribbon and tie it into a loose knot. Wrap it around the center of the bow, so that the knot is on top. Glue the back closed with hot glue.
To make Bo Peep’s cane, cut a piece of wire hanger, approximately 7” in length. Using a thick marker, bend one end into a loop, creating a cane shape. Wrap and glue blue ribbon all around the cane. Use white ribbon cord to wrap a section in the center.
