Break Dancer Crazy Hair Day Idea

My daughter attends a couple camps every summer and there always seems to be a crazy hair day or crazy hat day. In the beginning of the summer for crazy hair day at the VB she attended I made her hair into a popcorn box. This last week, she attended a talent VBS and learned how to breakdance all week so, I came up with this break dancer crazy hair day idea.

Time: 30 Minutes

Materials:

  • Images you would like to use
  • Photograph
  • Scissors
  • Cardstock
  • Hair Clips
  • Hot Glue and Glue Gun

Instructions:

You can really use this idea for any theme. I used Google images to find a boom box and break dancer I wanted to use. I saved them and printed them out on cardstock. I cut them out and then also cut out my daughter’s face from a photo and glued it onto the break dancers face.

I plugged in my glue gun and put my daughter’s hair into two buns.  I did her hair BEFORE I glued the pictures onto the hairclips so that I would know where to position the image. So, once your child’s hair is up, play around with the positioning and then decide where to glue the hair clip onto your cut out and then clip it into the hair.

I had my daughter test it out with some moves and her little sister joined her. Ha! It stayed all through break dancing class and still looked perfect when I picked her up three hours later.

As I mentioned, you can do this with any theme you want and if you have a glue gun and a couple barrettes, it’s free! I hope you try it out!
