I am so excited to have my parents coming to visit us from Maryland the first week of December, and my in-laws coming to visit us from Illinois over Christmas this year! I’m crossing my fingers that this will be a new holiday tradition. This year, we redid our floors.  We removed the carpet and put in cement floors downstairs, and hardwood floors on the staircase and the entire upstairs. Here is our entryway to show the cement floors and hardwood floors on the steps.

Since the completion of the floors, I think I’ve tried every cleaning product available! I’ve tried both residential and commercial products and all were just OK. I also started decorating the railings of the stairs, now that they are clean and shiny.
