Holiday Shopping with Home Depot
I am honored to be sponsored by Home Depot for this post. All opinions are 100% my own.
My family and I shop at Home Depot often. By “often” I mean the other day I asked my three year old daughter what she would like for lunch and she replied, “A hot dog from Home Depot.” We went this past weekend and had a shopping list in mind. In particular, we were looking for these items for my brother. If you don’t know my brother, I can best describe him as a cross between Martha Stewart and MacGyver. He can construct, bake, sew, cook, you name it. He’s a creative genius and Home Depot is the perfect place to find him a gift or three.
Our Shopping List:
- Howard Leight Sync AM/FM Digital Radio Earmuff with MP3 AUX Input Jack
- Ryobi One Plus 18-Volt 2 in. 18-Gauge Cordless Brad Nailer
- Husky 14 in. Rolling Tool Tote
- Husky Mechanics Tool Set (111-Piece)
- Husky 12-Volt/120-Volt Home and Auto Inflator
Home Depot was extremely busy two days after Thanksgiving but we DID get some special help from Richard and Ray.
Richard personally took us around the store and guided us in the right direction and quickly among the hustle and bustle. Many of the gifts on our list could be found in the gift center.
This is my daughter who was VERY happy riding in the car shopping cart collecting all our items.
My husband and I looked over the five items on our shopping list and decided on three of them. Here is another photo of my daughter once again overjoyed to find the right gift items for her Tito (uncle).
We decided on the Ryobi One Plus Cordless Brad Nailer, the Husky Rolling Tool Tote, and the Husky Mechanics Tool Set . My brother is most deserving of all these things and I can’t wait to give it to him.
I had difficulty deciding how to wrap such large items, so I wrapped the Brad Nailer and the Tool Set in wrapping paper and they both happen to fit PERFECTLY inside the Rolling Tool Tote. I then thought that I should make my own bow for the top in a few easy steps.
Here are the full step by step instructions on how to make a large bow out of ribbon. It turned out quite nice!
I wrapped some ribbon around the rolling tool tote and placed my homemade ribbon on top.
I absolutely CANNOT wait to give this to my brother!! Santa may come a little early this year because I’m so excited!

I absolutely love going to Home Depot, especially at this time of year! All the fun tool kits and Christmas items get me in the mood for a DIYproject. I SO want that Ryobi brad nailer this year.
Oh I REALLY was tempted to keep that Ryobi brad nailer for myself!!!
We really like Home Depot- they have good quality products!
They do! We can’t stay away… 😉
Home Depot is my store! They have so many great new items for home improvements….it sure makes life easier. P.s. I have always wondered how those bows were made.
Yes! I think we are there every weekend!
Love your shopping list!! The bow is so cute!!
Thanks Loren!
Isn’t it funny how FUN shopping at Home Depot is? Great presents too!
It IS!!! Thanks, Amanda!
I love Home Depot now that I adore spray painting. I don’t think I ever leave without a can or two! There’s always SO MUCH to look at and I love seeing what other people are buying for their projects. Your brother is going to be THRILLED with his gifts! I need to see what Daniel needs for the garage and get him something really awesome from Home Depot for Christmas!
Tara, you are officially addicted to spray paint! LOL Home Depot has the best selection 🙂
My boys buy their Dad gift cards from HD every year.
That’s the perfect gift for Dad (and me! LOL)!!
What a great gift. I have to say my husband and I love Home Depot too. There isn’t a birthday or Christmas that goes by where we don’t get a Home Depot gift card or gift!
I think I may have given you one before! Tee hee…
I had no idea Home Depot had food? Maybe I’ll have to rotate between Home Depot and Costco for my lunches.
Oh! There is always a hot dog stand in front of our Home Depot. I should have clarified! Ha!
Your post makes me want to run out to Home Depot now and find some awesome gifts – your brother is one lucky guy!
Thanks Jen!
Great gifts at Home Depot! I think there might be some peeps on my gift list that could use some of these things! Thanks for the great ideas!

You better hope your brother does not read this post or you might have to bring those gifts back. Or keep them for yourself! Heh heh! Nice job making those bows!
