Industrial Chic Dining Room
We have lived in our new house now for four months now. I posted my kitchen and my styled book shelves in our family room, but I haven’t really shared much else. Today, I want to share out industrial chic dining room (at least that’s what I call it!). My husband and I have managed to mix our two styles together. We have a lot of street art, museum and concert posters, salvaged pieces, and feminine pieces. Mixed all together, “industrial chic” seemed to be the appropriate name. You can see how I styled the dining room in our old home as well.
This was the dining room before we moved in.
The old dining room was much bigger so I had to move our eight-foot table against the wall. We can roll it out to fit another chair if we have a dinner party.
Our table is an old metal work bench that we bought at an architectural salvage store. We placed a large glass on top from our old table. I balanced the hardness of the metal with feminine floral upholstered chairs.
I have to admit, I hated the chandelier when we first looked at the house to purchase it. I didn’t think it was my style. BUT, after we moved our furniture in I actually love it!
This buffet table was our old media table. It works much better as a buffet and is very useful with all the storage space.
The mirrors on top I got for a steal. The large one was a broken clearance piece that I repaired. It was originally $120 and I got it for $8! Here is how I made it over. The gold metal one was a mirror I fell in love with at the Long Beach Antique Swap Meet.
I always change the knick-knacks on top of the buffet to fit the season or holiday. I also always change the centerpiece on the dining room table, but I do always keep this mirror as a tray I bought on sale at Michael for practically nothing! It was one of those sale of a sale plus a coupon type of thing.
Here are a few other pictures. Eventually we will paint and redo the floors but until then I hope you like it!
The buffet table looks fabulous. LOVE IT! Want to ask, where you bought the chandelier? It looks great!
Thanks for share.
Thank you so much! The chandelier was here when we bought the house, but I do have the certificate of authenticity. It is a Shonbeck Rock Crystal Chandelier.
