Paper Feather Craft Ideas
The other day, I raided my paper scrap bin and started making paper feathers. I couldn’t stop. This is what I posted on Instagram the night I kept making them.
They are so fun to make that I made too many! In case you missed it, here is the tutorial. I had no idea what to do with them so I brainstormed. Here are some paper feather craft ideas that I came up with.
I busted out a couple craft items: washi tape, pencils and a pair of scissors.
I attempted to make feather quill pencils. I thought they’d be cute for Valentine’s Day. Perhaps I will add a little “Happy Valentine’s Day” tag to dangle from it. It might make a cute teacher gift.
I was thinking that these feathers might make some cute artwork for my daughter’s room. So, I painted a canvas green and added the feathers for a three dimensional piece to hang on her wall.
Since Valentine’s Day is coming up, I thought some would be pretty displayed in an Apothecary jar for some quick and easy Valentine’s Day decorations. I think they’d also be pretty in other colors to be displayed at a baby shower or wedding shower.
Finally, I had some feather’s left over so I used them to embellish a gift for a friend. I wrapped it in brown paper, wrapped it in lace and added three feathers.
When I originally started making them I wanted to attempt to make a wreath for Valentine’s Day, however I opted not to make a wreath. I think I’m going to make a general spring wreath soon. Do you have any more ideas? I have a few left over!
