Brown Paper Bag Gift Wrapping
My daughter has a birthday party to attend coming up. It’s for three sisters, Ruby, Rosey, and Reyna. We bought them their gifts the other day but I neglected to get gift bags or gift boxes. So, while the baby was sound asleep taking a nap, I figured out that you can turn a paper bag inside out to make brown paper bag gift wrapping.
Time: 30 Minutes
Materials:
- Brown Paper Shopping Bags
- Scissors
- Clear Tape
- Colored Paper
- Various Craft Punches
- Hot Glue and Glue Gun
- Ruler
- Pencil
- Tissue Paper
Instructions:
If there is a design on your bag, carefully turn the bag inside out. If you rip it, it’s ok. Small tears can be fixed with clear tape. If you need to tape tears, be sure to place the tape on the inside of the bag. You won’t even be able to tell on the outside.
Remove the handles, again, without tearing. If needed, cut the bag to the desired size. Glue the handles back on with hot glue. Next make your paper flowers and glue them on with hot glue. I have done several paper flower tutorials! For the flowers you see on this bag, I used a heart punch, a flower punch, 1” circle punch, 1.5” circle punch, and 2” circle punch. Here are the tutorials I used for this project:
Here is another tutorial I did that I think would work nicely for this project as well: Easy Circle Punch Paper Flowers
