Easy DIY Paper Flowers Tutorial
Easy DIY Paper Flowers Tutorial Using a Circle Punch
Here is an easy DIY paper flowers tutorial using circle craft punches and a couple flower punches (optional). This tutorial will work for any sized circle punches. In the materials list below, I listed the sizes I used as well as Amazon affiliate links for recommended products.
Here is a quick video:
Time: 20-40 Minutes
Materials:
- Colored Paper
- Any Sized Circle Craft Punch
- 2” Circle Craft Punch
- 1.5” Circle Craft Punch
- 1” Circle Craft Punch
- Any Sized Flower Punch
- Double Sided Tape
- Hot Glue and Glue Gun
I made these flowers for gift wrapping embellishments, however you can use them for so many things like decorating cards, party favor bags, or party décor. Each flower needs 5 circles.
Fold each circle in half. I folded all five circles at once to save time.
Use double sided tape to tape each circle (flower petal) together as shown.
Use a flower punch to make a flower and tape it to the center of the flower. For my flower, I folded the petals upward before I taped it to the circle flower to give it dimension.
I mixed three different hues of pink and green. I hot glued it to the wrapped present.
Here are a few after photos.
Here is another flower using the same technique but using layers of 3 circles in three different sizes. For this one, extra wrapping paper scraps were used to make the flowers. Here’s a quick Instagram Reel I made for this type of paper flower.
