Painted Rock Craft
This post, Painted Rock Craft was originally written for my other site that I had to say farewell to! BUT, I still wanted to share this awesome guest post! Enjoy!
My friend Lilly has shared some pretty amazing DIY projects she has done on DIY Inspired including her Upcycled Ladder Garden Display, Recycled Clock Watch Display Case, Thrift Store Chair Makeover, and her Upcycled Thrift Store Penny Table. Today, I am excited to share her painted rock craft for kids today.
Lilly collected these stones from a local beach in California. She hand painted little lady bugs using red, black, white, and blue paint. Aren’t they absolutely adorable?
She also painted several cacti in hues of green and placed them in a pebble filled bowl. What a great idea!
You can use any type of acrylic craft paint for this project. Consider using paint pens for more detailed work. Not just for kids, the possibilities are endless on images to paint. I can picture an entire rock family with hair and clothes. You can also paint on letters to spell out the family surname and display them on your front porch…hmmm…I think I may do that! These would make a great teacher gift from your child or Mother’s or Father’s day gift as well.
Be sure to stop by and see Lilly’s other fabulous creations!
