Tea Party Themed Candy Station
I just had to share this tea party themed candy station with you today. The party is not until next week but I messed up some dates! Let me explain… I have no idea how I let myself get mixed up but my daughter’s very first dance recital and my friend’s first baby shower is on the same day! Yikes! I am responsible for ALL the decorations including this candy station for favors so I had to make it work!
Luckily my daughter’s dance recital is in the morning and the shower is at noon, so if I time it right, I should be able to pull off both. The only thing is, is that I will have no time to decorate for the shower! SO what I did was set up all the decorations, took pictures, packed and labeled all the boxes with photo instructions for my co-hosts to set up without me! Bah! I freaked out for three days… but now I think I’m OK…
ANYWAY, here is the candy station filled with awesome candy provided by SweetWorks, Inc. I filled some apothecary jars with gumballs and colorful Sixlets candies. The party theme is a Mad Hatter Tea Party.
I won this fun “Eat” sign from the blog conference, Elevate, that I attended last year and thought it fit perfectly.
I found some pretty teacups at Goodwill and filled them with Ovation dark chocolate covered mint sticks. I also filled some teacups with pressed heart candies. By the way, I did a fun Sharpie craft with these teacups and colored the handles gold {Sharpie Teacup tutorial}. I added small touches like little silver spoons and layered plates.
I also filled some pretty plastic vases I got with chocolate pink and blue foiled hearts and used two more for favor bags and scoops.
Soooo, I have another whole story about rearranging the centerpieces but I’ll save that one for tomorrow! In the meantime, here are the other Alice in Wonderland Mad Hatter Tea Party posts for this party.
