Three DIY Pet Safe Cleaners

This article, Three DIY Pet Safe Cleaners, in part of the Bounty Forgive Them Faster campaign. All opinions are 100% my own.

Harley Cleaning with Bounty

It’s inevitable. If you are a pet owner, our cute little loyal companions are messy and have accidents. Whether it is a spilled water bowl, muddy paw prints, or a big no-no on the carpet, it’s hard to get angry at our pets when they are a part of the family. I thought I’d share three DIY pet safe cleaning solutions. Hopefully, with the help of these recipes and some Bounty paper towels, we can just shake our heads, clean up quickly, and forgive them faster!

I mean, look at these faces? Meet Pablo my Chihuahua and Harley my pug!

Furgiveness Forgive Them Faster Pablo

Furgiveness Forgive Them Faster Harley

Let’s get started!

Floor Cleaner

This solution is great for many areas, but I like to use it on the floor when Pablo and Harley make a mess.

You Will Need:

  • Spray Bottle
  • Water
  • Vinegar
  • Essential Oils (optional)
  • Bounty Paper Towels

Fill a spray bottle with 50/50 solution of vinegar and water. If desired you can add a few drops of essential oils. Spray the soiled area and wipe clean with Bounty paper towels.

Carpet Cleaner

It happens to all of us! Our furry little friends, especially the pups, have accidents on our carpets. I have tested this one many times (how embarrassing).

You Will Need:

  • White Vinegar
  • Spray Bottle
  • Bounty Paper Towels
  • Baking soda
  • Vacuum cleaner

Instructions:

If the stain is still wet blot the spot as dry as possible with a paper towel.  Next, put white vinegar in a spray bottle and completely saturate the stain.  If the spot is new, leave the vinegar on for a few minutes and then blot it with a clean paper towel.  If the stain is old, let the vinegar set on the stain for an hour or two.

Once you have blotted the stain with a paper towel, allow it to dry.  Once it is dry, sprinkle baking soda on the stain and vacuum it.  The baking soda will get rid of the smell!

All Purpose Cleaner

This is great for all kinds of pet messes. The hydrogen peroxide has a neutral odor and the lemon juice gives it a fresh scent.

You Will Need:

  • Spray Bottle
  • Water
  • Hydrogen Peroxide
  • Lemon Juice
  • Bounty Paper Towels

Mix 2 cups Water, 1 cup Hydrogen Peroxide, ¼ cup Lemon Juice in a spray bottle. Spray the messy area and wipe clean with none other than, the Quicker Picker Upper!!

Quick and easy and then you can get back to being one happy family!

Forgive Them Faster with Bounty

You have to check out my two favorite “Forgive Them Faster” YouTube videos with Molly and Bentley!

I hope these videos and recipes help you with those pet messes and also help you forgive them faster!

We have a pretty new rescue dog. We love her dearly, but it’s taking a while to re-train her, and I definitely need this!

A chihuahua and a pug? I think we are soul mates 🙂 We had chihuahuas when I was growing up and now I have two Boston Terriers. I’m off to watch the videos!

Homemade cleaners are not only pet safe but kid safe! Good to know that people are not only considering them but using them. Cheers, Robin.
