Bounty Quicker Picker Upper Games for Kids
This article, Bounty Quicker Picker Upper Games for Kids, is sponsored by Bounty. All opinions are 100% my own.
In honor of the Rio 2016 Summer Olympic Games, my friends and I decided to help celebrate by having a craft and activity filled party for our families. We had tons of great food, games for the adults and the kids, and even gave out participation medals and trophies at the end. Each family was assigned a color and we dressed up accordingly, which made our photo booth area even more fun. They were also provided with a swag bag filled with wigs, pompoms, whistles, and horns in their team color. Today, I want to share the craft and kids games we had for our Bounty Quicker Picker Upper Games.
Make Your Own Olympic Flag
Materials:
- Recycled Bounty Paper Towel Cardboard Tubes
- Craft Paint (blue, yellow, black, green, and red)
- 5 Paper Plates
- 5”X11” White Cardstock
- Scissors
- Dowel Rods
- Hot Glue
Instructions: Prepare the flags before the guests arrive. I would suggest making an example of the flag to display. Cut cardstock into 4.25”X5.5” pieces. Use hot glue to attach the cardstock to a wooden dowel. Cut a Bounty cardboard paper towel roll into 4-6 rings. Try to cut the rings as evenly as possible. This will help in stamping a complete ring. Place one paint color per plate. Let the kids use the rings as stamps, creating their own Olympic flag.

Race to Clean Up
The games we played were all noncompetitive. We wanted to have as much fun as possible so we encouraged cheering each other on and working as a team rather than choosing a winner for the overall events. This event was perfect for that.
Materials:
- Bounty Paper Towels
- Table
- Food Coloring
- Water
- Stopwatch
- Whistle
Instructions: Set up a table outdoors. Line up the kids behind the table on one side armed with paper towels. Pour colored water directly onto the table. At the blow of the whistle, let the kids clean up the mess with their paper towels as fast as possible. Time them with a stop watch.

Bounty Paper Towel Roll Egg Race and Obstacle Course
Materials:
- Recycled Bounty Paper Towel Cardboard Tubes
- Colored Paper
- Tape or Glue
- Eggs
- Hurdles
- Cones
Instructions: Cover a Bounty paper towel roll cardboard tube with colored paper in Olympic colors. Set up and obstacle course with hurdles and cones with two sides. Have the kids place the egg at the top of the paper towel roll. The kids must complete the course without dropping the egg. We let the kids go by age group. They had so much fun that they did it over and over again!
For all three of these messy outdoor games I used a flag holder to hold a roll of Bounty paper towels. That way, we had towels ready and on hand to clean up water, paint, or eggs.
Both the parents and kids had a great time. It was a day filled with celebration, messes, and most importantly teamwork.
What a blast! I wish I could have come over, LOL!
I wish you were there, Amy! I’ll share the adult games soon… they were SO fun.
