Easy New Wood Bead Craft Ideas for Christmas
The look of wooden beads is very popular these days. Here are three very simple wood bead craft ideas that you can do this year to make a big impact in your holiday décor.
Where to Buy Wooden Beads

DIY Wood Bead Ornaments
A quick, simple, but beautiful and timeless DIY are these hanging wooden bead ornaments. You can watch my Instagram Reel here.
Materials:
- Wood Beads
- Plastic Gem Beads (optional)
- Plastic Teardrop Beads
- Twine
- Tape
- Baking Sheet
Instructions:
- Use a baking sheet to help keep the beads in place on your surface.
- Cut approximately 18” of twine and cover each end with tape.
- Thread a teardrop bead to the center of the string and fold in half. String the rest of your beads mixing both wood and plastic in the desired arrangement.
The ornaments shown here are approximately 5”-6” in length.
Wood Bead Garland
This is a classic wood bead garland that is much cheaper than purchasing them in stores if you make it yourself.
Here is what you need.
Materials:
- Wood Beads
- Twine
- Tape
Instructions:
Cover the end of the twine in tape as explained above. String the desired length. Tie each end in a loop. Use Command Hooks to hang on a mantel, or use the garland to decorate your tree. Watch my Instagram Reel on how I made this one.
I love the way these turned out. I layered it with a 6 foot one I bought at Walmart.
DIY Decorative Wood Strand with Tassel
These are shorter versions of the garland with a tassle on the end. They are great because you can use them as part of your home décor all year round. I also have a quick Instagram Reel for this one as well.
