DIY Tips and Tricks

Easy Bathroom Organization Update

I recently visited my in laws in Wisconsin.  I love going there especially because my daughter Mia gets to see her Grandma and Papa.  Rarely getting to see her Grandparents is definitely a drawback of living so far away from them (my parents are on the east coast).  I particularly love antique shopping there as well… the stuff is SOO much better and less expensive!  While we were there we decided to give a quick and easy bathroom organization update because…well…we wanted to AND it’s fun (I know I’m a Geek).

So, today I just wanted to share a quick little post to show you the before and after of our project.  Here is the BEFORE.

It’s a sweet little bathroom, but the only storage is a small cabinet under the sink and the medicine cabinet.  My husband and I went to Lowe’s while Mia got some quality time with Grandma and Papa.  We had the intention of getting a brand new sink and vanity but after I took measurements, we couldn’t find an easy replacement because of the dimensions so the vanity will have to wait until we have time to research online.

We ended up buying a new toilet seat and an over the toilet cabinet. I put it all together while we watched television in the living room.  Working with my hands and putting together things like this is therapeutic for me for some reason.  In a short time, I assembled it and we got a much more organized bathroom!

Check out a recent posts I did for making your bathroom a little more spa-like and a few more bathroom organization tips!
