Non Candy Halloween Treats with Printable
Every year for classroom parties at Mia’s school where we are encouraged to bring a goodie for each student, I try and come up with non candy Halloween treats. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE candy and I think every child deserves his or her share; it’s just that they get SO much of it during Halloween. So this year I decided to share my idea and also made a printable to share.
Time: 20-30 Minutes
Materials:
- Free Printable
- Pencils
- Erasers
- Small plastic favor bags
- Aleene’s Tacky Line Runner
- Scissors
- Paper Cutter (optional)
When you cut out the printable, you simply fold it over to create the flag. I cut the “v” shape after it’s folded over because it’s the quickest and easiest way to cut. After you fold it, open it up and apply two stripe of Aleene’s Tacky Line Runner tape to the inside. Place two pencils close to the fold, and then the small baggie of erasers next to it. Carefully fold the top of the flag over. This holds beautifully and will last the trip to school inside a backpack and tossed into a cubbie.
I bought the pencils and erasers at Target. For 30 kids, I only spent $8 because I already had the tape and baggies (left over from a party). Not too bad!
You can use the printable for pencils, markers, highlighters, glow sticks… and yes, even candy!
