I wanted to make some inexpensive, but creative and special gifts for my neighbors, my friend’s parents, and Mia’s teachers. I thought a winter themed survival kit would be a cute idea, and making it into an ornament would be even cuter! Here is my Winter Survival Kit Ornament Gift Idea.
Materials:
- Plastic cubes
- Fake snow
- Survival Kit items:
- Candy Cane & Cherry Apple Twist flavored Tic Tac® mints
- Antibacterial soap
- Holiday bandages
- Holiday lip balm
- Lotion
- Ribbon
- Scissors
I knew that I wanted to make these before I even thought about where I could buy plastic cubes. After searching a few stores with no luck, I remembered I had these cases from these mini ornaments I bought. They look like this.
I have these in gold, red, and silver, and now, I will just think of a different way to store them so I can use the cases for these ornaments. Ha! The first thing I did was fill them with fake snow.
I purchased some fun items to put inside the winter survival kit including antibacterial soap, holiday bandages, lip balm, lotion, and of course Tic Tac® Packs. This year, Tic Tac® has transformed a holiday favorite into a portable, shareable treat with the introduction of new limited-edition Candy Cane flavored Tic Tac® mints! It’s a festive and affordable treat that fits nicely into these cute “orna-mints” (get it??)! With just one Candy Cane flavored Tic Tac® mint, you can enjoy the classic holiday treat any time without battling with sticky plastic wrap. Tic Tac® is also bringing a holiday favorite, Cherry Apple Twist, back to shelves this year. Yum!
I purposefully picked colorful holiday themed items to fit inside the cubes.
Lastly I tied them up with ribbon.
They look great hanging on the tree as well! This little gift is perfect for party hosts, neighbors, teachers, and any special someone in your life!
