DIY Furniture Trash To Treasure

Clever Repurposed Furniture Ideas

Antique Shopping Trip Finds: Clever Repurposed Furniture Ideas

Recently, my family and I went to visit my in-laws in Wisconsin. One of my favorite things to do there is go to the local antique shops.  There was a new one I hadn’t been to called Piccadilly Consignment. I think it may be my favorite of all the shops I’ve been to there. Not only were there some cool antiques with some great prices, there were a lot of clever repurposed furniture ideas throughout the store.

Check out my guide for why you should buy furniture secondhand. It also includes a list of trash to treasure project ideas.

The first thing I saw when I walked through the doors was this chair made out of a pitch fork and some hinges. I should have sat on it because now I am wondering if it is comfortable or not. I’m thinking the latter. It’s very interesting at the very least.

As I walked further into the store, this beauty was there to greet me. I like this repurposed hall tree particularly because the door is green, my favorite color.  I like the added touches like the table legs, iron detail and extra hooks.

I went upstairs and saw a little living room set with two side tables and a matching coffee table.  They were upcycled with yardsticks.

Also upstairs were a tractor seat stool, repurposed sewing table desk, and a window coffee table (shown above). The coffee table is great because you can open the window for extra storage inside.

There were so many great pieces there.  I posted an article about repurposed vintage home décor from other items I found while perusing this store.  If you want to visit, Piccadilly Consignment is located on Hwy 50 and Hwy MB in the Village of Bristol, WI. They are open on Tuesday through Friday from 10-6, Saturday 10-4, Sunday 12-4 and closed on Mondays.
