Easy Popsicle DIY Gift Tags
Today is my twin Goddaughter’s 2nd birthday! Last year for their Alice in Wonderland First Birthday Party, I wrapped their gifts by making Recycled Food Container Gift Wrapping. This time, I was inspired by the beach bags I bought them and made Easy Popsicle DIY Gift Tags to match. Here’s what they look like.
Aren’t they cute? I got a great deal on them at TJ Maxx. In case you were wondering, here’s is what’s inside; two matching bathing suits, hats, and sunglasses for the twins.
Materials:
- Cardstock
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Craft punch
- Popsicle sticks
- Glue
- String or ribbon
I never buy cards anymore, because I like to make my own special ones for fun. To make the popsicle tags, simply cut out the popsicle shape out of cardstock as shown. I cut both of them out so that they were symmetrical. They aren’t perfect, but still cute!
I used a circle punch and glued colorful circles onto the front of the card. You can also punch other shapes or even add stripes. I picked polka dots because they are my best friend’s favorite (the twin’s Mom).
Lastly, I glued on a Popsicle stick and wrote a message to the twins on the inside. You can also use craft sticks as well.
That’s it! Here are a couple AFTER photos. I tied them on the existing tag of the bag with blue baker’s twine.
I hope you try it out! These are fun for the summertime. You can even turn them into a little invitation for a summer BBQ!
Happy Birthday to my little ladies!!!
