Glittered Coffin Halloween Party Favors
This post, Glittered Coffin Halloween Party Favors, is sponsored by Jo-Ann’s. All opinions are 100% my own.
If you haven’t noticed I LOVE Halloween! Ha! I love all the scary stuff, BUT I don’t necessarily think it’s pretty… and I HAVE to have pretty things displayed, no matter what holiday. I recently shared my Glam-O-Ween decorations for this year which mixes scary and pretty. Today, I want to do the same. I’m taking these wooden coffins from shriek to chic by transforming them into glittered coffin Halloween party favors, perfect for your Halloween party this year.
Here is what you’ll need:
- Wooden Coffins from Jo-Ann’s
- Craft Paint
- Glitter Paint
- Foam Paint Brushes
- Sparkly Spider Embellishments
- Mod Podge
Here are the coffins I found. I bought them at Jo-Ann’s on sale for 50% off! Score!
I painted the boxes alternating colors for the lid and base. I used Martha Stewart’s Satin Granny Smith and Pacific Iris. I found it best to use a foam brush to get straight lines.
Next, I used glitter paint, to paint over the tops of the lids to make them shimmer a little bit. I used Martha Stewart’s Glitter Paint in Charoite and Limeade.
Lastly, I found glittered spider embellishments. They are stickers, however to make them stay on the wood, I used a coat of Mod Podge to keep them in place.
Once they are dry, fill them with candies, or small toys to give away as party favors or game prizes. They would also make great gifts if you get “boo-d” by your neighbor! Here are a couple after photos!
