Recycle Glass Bottles and Jars for Crafts
Creative Ways to Recycle Glass Bottles and Jars
Spaghetti jars? Baby food jars? Pickle Jars? Recycle Glass Bottles and Jars by getting crafty!
It IS easy being green! Everyone has glass bottles and jars just waiting to be recycled in their cupboard. I actually didn’t realize how interesting spaghetti jars and pickle jars were until I peeled off the label the other day. They actually make perfect sized drinking glasses or craft storage containers.  Mason jar crafts are omnipresent.  I’ve done a few of my own!
Here are some eco-friendly crafts from recycled glass bottles and jars.Â
Use them for Parties
Here’s a free printable you can use for your next party! It only takes a minute to print and add to three recycled sauce jars. Watch the video:
Jars as Centerpieces
Use bottles and jars as flower vases to make elegant centerpieces… such a fun and inexpensive idea for a wedding. You can also just display them at home. Add a little lace and voila!Â
You can also glitter them and spray paint them gold! Play around with different colors to match your decor. Painter’s tape works wonders for this fun craft idea. Of course, fresh flowers are a must!
Make Recycled Jar Outdoor Lighting
Make this DIY Mason Jar Chandelier with a succulent garden to display tea lights in your backyard. Hang it from a tree or a patio slat for some pretty lighting at night with no wiring needed.
…or this mason jar chandelier… This one is practically free! Go on a walk to find the perfect stick.
Make Terrariums and Herb Gardens
Here’s a fun way to start an herb garden in your window sill. Transfer them in your garden as they grow.
This is a fun terrarium to make with succulent clippings. Add little fairy miniatures to create a whimsical feel. Michael’s a great selection of fairy garden miniatures.
Make Kids Crafts
Make different animals out of bottles to make drinking milk more fun! All you need is paper and scissors, glue or tape. The kids can use their imagination.
…Or add some sparkles to make a sweet at home party with some cookie treats!
I hope you like these ideas! Before you go, watch this video on how to make your own bath salts. Place them in an old jar near your bathtub!
