Repurposed Wire Lamp
Trash to Treasure: Repurposed Wire Lamp
Chicken Light Protector Turned Lamp
I stopped at a yard sale the other day and found an old metal light protector. The couple who were running the sale told me they used it in their chicken house to keep the chickens from pecking at the light bulb. For $1.00 I knew I had to have this find, though at the time I had no idea what I was going to do with it!
Here it is when I brought it home:
I put all my creative juices to work and decided I would make a lamp out of my $1.00 purchase. A trip to the Samaritan Thrift Shop netted me this black lamp base for $2.00.
I removed the old wiring and old base and screwed the metal frame directly onto the new lamp base I bought.
A coat of red paint to the lamp and a coat of white paint to the wiring, and the lamp I envisioned became a reality! Total cost $3.00!
