Succulent Gift with Thank You Printable
How to Plant a Succulent Gift with Thank You Printable
My friends recently threw me a baby shower and I wanted to make a small gift to say thank you. I have been obsessing over succulents lately because they are beautiful and easy to care for, so I decided to plant these mini succulents in candle holders for my friends. I also made a simple thank you printable that you can use and print out as well.
Here’s What You Need
Time: 20 Minutes
Materials:
- Mini Succulent Plants
- Small Candle Holders
- Potting Soil
- Garden Spade
- Ribbon or String
- Printable Thank You Gift Tags
- Hole Punch
- Scissors
Instructions:
Step One: Choose a small candle holder. I bought the ones pictured here at Michael’s. Succulents are resilient and the larger the container, the larger they will grow. I chose some timeless mercury glass containers.
Step Two: Protect your work surface. Fill the container half way with potting soil. Carefully transplant your succulent into the holder. Fill the edges with more soil. Water your plant and clean any excess dirt from the sides of the container.
Step Three: Print your free thank you gift tags. Cut them out and punch a hole for the string. Tie it around your container.
This is such a simple and inexpensive gift idea that is perfect for any occasion. You can gift it to not only friends but, teachers, coaches, neighbors, or the hostess of an upcoming party.
