Nala’s Preschool Butterfly Craft
She Spent: $5.00
She Bought:
- Butterfly Balloon
- Pipe Cleaner
- Craft Sticks
- Pompoms
- Glue
Items from Home:
- Construction Paper
- Pencil
- Wiggly Eyes
- Scissors
How She Made It:
- Glue pompoms to a craft stick for the body.
- Fold a piece of construction paper in half and trace half of the butterfly. Cut it out and open it.
- Glue the wings to the craft stick
- Use pipe cleaners as antennas and glue them on.
- Decorate the wings with construction paper and stickers.
- Use wiggly eyes or construction paper for the eyes.
Mia’s Giant Butterfly Pen
She Spent: $4.00
She Bought:
- Giant Pen
- Purple Paint
- White Paint
- Stickers
Items from Home:
- Construction Paper
- Pencil
- Wiggly Eyes
- Scissors
- Pipe Cleaners
- Hot Glue and Glue Gun
How She Made It:
- Paint the pen to cover any images. Mia use white first, let it dry, then painted it purple on top.
- Fold a piece of construction paper in half and trace half of the butterfly. Cut it out and open it.
- Glue them on to the pen and decorate them with stickers.
- Glue on pipe cleaner antennas and wiggly eyes.
Dinah’s Paper Butterfly Terrarium
I Spent: $4.00
I Bought:
- Glass Vase
- Plate
- Small Rocks
- Moss
Items from Home:
- Paper
- Hot Glue and Glue Gun
- Sticks
- Pencil
How I Made It:
- Fold a piece of construction paper in half and trace half of the butterflies. I fit three on one piece. Cut them out and open them.
- Glue them onto sticks. I glued the sticks together so that they would stay up.
- Glue moss on the sticks if desired.
- I layered moss and rocks on the plate, inserted the sticks into the vase and placed the vase upside down on the plate.
