Door Decoration: One Basket Four Ways

Creative Front Door Decoration: One Basket Four Ways

I LOVE it when I find a great deal. I bought this hanging basket at a massive sale price at a Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Store after the holidays last year.  I thought it would be a great base for a hanging door decoration for the front door of my house. I have used it three other times so far including:

  • Radiant Orchid DIY Spring Door Decoration
  • L-O-V-E Front Door Decoration
  • Four Leaf Clover Front Door Decoration

This time, I made a few simple and quick changes using the materials from the above three door decorations to create a whole new look.  I kept the burlap, lace, and address numbers from the radiant orchid themed one I made most recently.  I just used a little craft paint and a foam brush to paint the front of the numbers white.  I left the back and sides lavender. What is great about these wooden numbers is that you can constantly change them to fit any holiday color scheme.

I went to Michael’s the other day and all of their summer items were 70%-80% off. I found these adorable clip-on burlap butterflies. I clipped some onto the front.

I also added a few to the straps of the wreath. These were such a great find for less than a dollar a piece.

I used the flowers from my four leaf clover and L-O-V-E door decoration and mixed them together along with more butterflies.

Here is the final look! I spent less than $5 on the butterflies and everything else I already had.

Of all the ways you’ve used this basket so far, I have to say this one is my favorite!

Hi Reed! I would check Joann Fabric and Craft Stores. I saw it there not that long ago. Also, you can try something like this: http://amzn.to/2mRvSdN (affiliate link)
