Upcycled Wire Lamp Shade

Upcycled Wire Lamp Shade

Upcycled Lamp Shade DIY

This old lamp had seen better days yet it still worked; there was no reason to throw it away when all it needed was some upcycling!

Upcycled Lamp Shade

I updated it with some barbwire I cut from a fence on the property.

Upcycled Lamp Shade How To (1)

Needed for this project:

  • Lampshade frame
  • Sand paper
  • Barbwire and wire to attached to frame
  • Wire cutters
  • Spray paint

Optional:

  • LED Dew Drop Lights

After removing the shade covering, I sanded the frame a bit to make sure no glue remained.

Next, I attached the barbwire to the frame using pieces of wire. After the barbwire was attached to the frame I sprayed the frame using a metallic gold paint.

Lastly, I attached small LED Dewdrop lights to the barbwire.

Here’s the new lamp!  The rustic look is perfect for our sunroom!
