Quick and Easy Valentine Treats with Oreo Cookies
The other day, my daughter asked if we could make some early Valentine’s Day treats for my husband before he got home from work. We went to the store and made these quick and easy Valentine treats in just a few minutes. They are similar to the Gingerbread OREOS we made over Christmas. Here is how we made them.
Time: 15-20 minutes
Materials:
- Cookie of choice
- Pretzels
- Chocolate Chips
- Sprinkles
- Candy Lip Sprinkles
- Microwave
- Wax Paper
- Bowl
We melted about half of a package of chocolate chips in a bowl. I microwaved them for 30 seconds, stirred, and did another 30 seconds. I removed it and stirred until they were all melted.
I set out two pieces of wax paper, one for my daughter and one for me. Then we dipped and sprinkled to our hearts content! I liked them because they turned out looking like mysterious faces ready to pucker up.
It was so much fun and so simple and easy with little clean up. We placed them on a plate after they hardened a little and put the plate in the refrigerator to finish hardening. When my husband got home, Mia was so excited. They served as our dessert after dinner and we almost ate them all!!
