Six Fun Painted Furniture Ideas
DIY Furniture Round-Up:Â Six Fun Painted Furniture Ideas
After spray painting a few projects this week (tutorials coming soon!), I started thinking about some of the fun painted furniture projects I’ve done. I wanted to re-cap five of my favorite ones. After gathering these projects together, I realized that I spent less than $100 for these five pieces total! Crazy!Â
Check out my trash to treasure guide for why you should buy furniture secondhand. It also includes a list of trash to treasure tips and project ideas. I spent about $30.00 on supplies… man I’m cheap (well, thrifty)! SOOOO, here are my six faves…
I found this red wooden bench for $5.00 at a local garage sale. It was towards the end of the day and the lady just wanted it out! I ended up re-painting the same red and upholstering the top. It’s now a fun and colorful bench that sits at the foot of my guestroom bed.
You know that garage sale I was just talking about? Yeah… I got these night stands for $5.00 a piece too! Score!
This one was a Salvation Army find that I HAD to have. I saw it and left. Thought about for the next few days and went back to buy it. I asked my Facebook friends what color to paint it. Love how it turned out!
These TV trays were sitting in my coat room closet for YEARS! They needed a little oomph so that I could take them out again.

I found this beauty for $5.00 at Goodwill. I fell in love with the lines and knew that with a little TLC I could give it some personality.
This was a fun recent tutorial I posted. I bought this step stool for $7.00 at Goodwill and added a cushion to match a play kitchen hutch I made for my daughter

You give me hope that I can find some great pieces and turn them into something even better!! That bench is still my fave!
Ha! Thanks Sharon! That bench cost me $5 at a garage sale and $15 in supplies…CHEAP!
