Give the Perfect Gift for Coach or Dad Using this Fun Brewery Tour Idea

It seems like every softball or soccer season we struggle with what to give our hard-working coaches. It’s always the same thing, sporting good gift cards, glass mugs, and sunflower seeds. Ho hum. This year I wanted to do something different and fun and the thing our coaches had in common was the love of going to our local breweries here in Anaheim, CA. As a result, I made this DIY Brewery Tour Gift for Coach or Dad.

I put together this little coach gift idea including not only beer and tip money, but a map of the local breweries and Uber gift card. Here’s a video I made of how it turned out.

Making the Paper Bottle Carrier

Materials:

These materials lists and instructions have affiliate links to recommended products that I use.

Scrapbook Paper
Plain Cardstock
Scissors or Cutting Tool
Glue
Cutting Mat
Straight Edge
Utility Knife

Instructions:

I found this wood patterned paper at Michael’s for $.69 each. And cut it down to 12” X 8”. I made a 4” flap and folded it up. To make the handle, I used a straight edge and cutting mat to cut it out. I glued the sides of the flap down.

Next, I cut a 6” X 4” piece of paper and glued in the center of the back of the carrier. This is for the back of the pocket.

Lastly, I went to Google maps and searched “Anaheim Breweries”. I took a screen shot of the map, saved it as an image, cropped it, and then printed and cut it out to use as a pocket for the Uber gift card.

Making the Money Holder Paper Bottles

Materials:

Scrapbook Paper
Cardstock
Scissors
Cutting Tool
Glue

Instructions:

First, I found an image of a bottle on Google and cut it out on cardstock to use as my template. I resized the image to about 2” X 7”. Next, trace and cut out six bottles per carrier on metallic brown scrapbook paper I found at Michael’s for $.69 each.

I Googled some local brewery logos and print and cut those out and glued them to the front of the bottles. I also made a little pocket and glued them to the back with the words “beer money plus tip”.

Putting it All Together

I inserted fives and ones into each pocket of the bottles by folding them lengthwise. I also got an Uber e-gift card on Amazon and printed them out, folded them, and placed them in the map pocket.

Lastly, place each money filled bottle in the carrier!
