DIY Minions Party Ideas
This post, DIY Minions Party Ideas, is sponsored by Bounty. All opinions are 100% my own.
Just in time for the Minions movie coming up on July 10th, Bounty Minions Prints are here! Coincidentally, one of my good friends is having a Minions themed birthday party for her daughters and the Bounty Minions Prints napkins will be perfect for all the party goodies and the Bounty Minions Prints paper towels will be great for the cleanup! So today I want to share some DIY Minions Party Ideas inspired by these fun and adorable prints.
DIY Minion Party Cups
I picked up a pack of 12 yellow party cups from a local dollar store and they were perfect for this project.
Materials:
- Yellow Cups
- Black Card Stock
- Silver Card Stock
- Wiggly Eyes
- 1” Circle Punch
- Glue
- Paper Cutter or Scissors
Instructions:
For each cup, cut .75” X 8.5” black strips. Punch out two 1” silver circles for the goggles. Assemble them as shown with tape and glue. You can use them to drink from or use them to hold straws or napkins.
DIY Minion Jars
Use any old jar to make a holder for utensils, straws, napkins, candy, or whatever!
Materials:
- Old Clean Jars
- Black Card Stock
- Silver Card Stock
- Wiggly Eyes
- 2” Circle Punch
- Glue
- Paper Cutter or Scissors
Instructions:
For each jar, cut 1” X 8.5” black strips. Punch out two 2” silver circles for the goggles. Assemble them as shown with tape and glue.
DIY Minion Party Pillow Favor Boxes
Materials:
- Pillow Box Tool
- Yellow Paper
- Black Card Stock
- Silver Card Stock
- Wiggly Eyes
- 2” Circle Punch
- 1.5” Circle Punch
- Glue
- Paper Cutter or Scissors
Instructions:
I used the Martha Stewart Pillow Box Tool, but you can use any. I also have the Fiskars one which works well too. Follow the instructions to make your boxes out of yellow paper.
Cut a black band out of cardstock for the goggle straps and wrap it around.
Punch a 2” silver circle, and then punch a 1.5” circle inside the silver circle. Attach the silver outline to your pillow box.
Use the white side of the 1.5” circle and glue it inside the silver circle. Add a wiggly eye. Fill your favor boxes with candy or small toys.
After your party, use the most adorable paper towels EVER! I love these Bounty Minion Print towels, and honestly I want to use them every day. After all, my husband and I WERE Minions for Halloween last year!
I hope you enjoyed these simple Minion party ideas. Making these are actually less expensive (and more fun) to make than buying them! You and your child will definitely enjoy making these and, if your child loves the Minions movies, they will also enjoy these YouTube videos to sing along to.
A big THANK YOU to Bounty for sponsoring this post!
