Stenciling is one of my favorite crafts to do. It’s a great way to personalize things with clever sayings or quotes, beautiful designs, or monograms. Here are five cool stenciling DIY’s for your kitchen I have done in the past. Just click the links for the full step by step photo tutorial.
One of my most recent projects. This is an old vintage tool caddy that I bought for a few dollars at a flea market. I stenciled it with “Bon Vivant” meaning “a person who likes going to parties and other social occasions and who enjoys good food, wine, etc.” Now it is a repurposed entertainment caddy.
This is the perfect home décor craft that looks great in a kitchen window sill. Succulents will thrive well in these little upcycled coffee cups.
This one was a result of wanting to personalized my already pretty Thanksgiving placemats. With a little gold paint, the monogram added a little extra design to them. These also would make a great gift.
I don’t know about you, but not EVERY dinner is spent at the dinner table. Sometimes you want to have a fun movie night with the kiddos. These stenciled TV trays give a little oomph to boring wood tops.
This is a cheap and easy way to make your own personalized burlap placemats. You can have fun with the words. Use words like “noel or joy” at Christmas time or “thanks or give” for Thanksgiving.
I hope you try them out!
