Junk Parts Turned Christmas Bells
,Trash to Treasure: Junk Parts Turned Christmas Bells
What better way to celebrate the season than with Christmas bells! I recently visited Can-It Recycling and found some great free stuff in one of the trash cans! Of course, I knew when I saw these old parts they were destined to become Christmas bells for our front porch. I made these Repurposed Light Fixtures to Christmas Bells recently as well.
Time: 20 Minutes
Materials
- Sand Paper
- Paint
- Ribbon
- Christmas Bells
- Paper Clips
- Christmas Embellishments
Upcycling these Junk Parts Turned Christmas Bells was easy, I just had to remove the nuts, bolts, and tags, then sand and paint.
How to Turn Junk Parts Into Christmas Bells
I had some old silver ribbon that I wove through the holes around the bottom of the “bell”.
To hang the bells, I used one of the nuts I removed to thread silver ribbon through. When the thread was pulled through the top hole, the nut kept the ribbon from coming out.
The jingle bells were kept from coming through the top of the bell by looping the ends of their cords to paper clips.
All that was left was to add some Christmas bling and hang the bells on the porch. ( I have no idea what these pieces were originally. I’m sure someone will know immediately when they see them though!) That is if they can recognize them now that they’re Christmas bells! Thank you for reading Junk Parts Turned Christmas Bells!
