DIY Gift Card Holder Envelope
My best friend needed a gift for an amazing woman and friend battling triple negative breast cancer. She is only in her twenties and attends all of her daughter’s softball games. Mindy is there for every game cheering on the girls and giving them tips. For the last game of the season, the couches, team, and fans wore pink ribbons on their lapels, in their hair, and dyed their socks and shirts pink. They made signs for Team Mindy to reciprocate their love and support for her. My friend wanted to give her some gift cards, so I volunteered to make a paper and Washi tape gift card holder envelope to give to Mindy.
Materials:
- One Sheet of Paper
- Paper Cutter
- Scissors
- Washi Tape
- Small Hole Punches
- Ribbon
- Milk Bottle and Candies (optional)
Instructions:
Cut your paper lengthwise. I used some pink Astrobrights paper. The width will depend on your gift card size. Fold up the bottom. Use a small hole punch and punch a half circle in the middle as shown.
Make two symmetrical diagonal cuts and punch a hole in the top center.
Seal the edges with Washi tape, folded in half lengthwise.
You can attach it to a jar filled with candies and leave it plain…
…or add a special message.
You can make these little envelopes for any occasion. Just change the color of your paper and Washi tape.
