DIY Superhero Birthday Card
I recently celebrated a birthday of one of my most favorite little boys on the planet. He is an absolute gem and deserves the best. I wanted to make him a special DIY superhero birthday card this year to give to him at his party. We had already celebrated his birthday at Disneyland earlier in the week, so I wanted to give him a little cash to let him buy something else that he wanted. So, I made this superhero money envelope complete with a superhero cape.
Materials:
- Card design printed on cardstock
- Blue Cardstock
- Yellow Cardstock
- Scissors
- Felt
- Double Sided Tape
- Glue Gun and Glue Sticks (Affiliate Link)
I designed this little card on a free program, iPiccy.com. I printed and cut it out, and taped it onto blue cardstock.Â
I turned it over and taped a little yellow pocket on the back to insert some money.
Next, I cut out a little black cape out of felt.
I hot glued it onto the back of the card.
Now, he can flip it up to see the money.
That’s it! It’s so simple and literally took me minutes. I think I waited longer for the hot glue gun to warm up!
As you can see I love making cards and invitations. Here are a few I have done.
- Little Mermaid Shell Card
- Rapunzel Birthday Invitation
- Ice Cream Cone Card
- Paper Towel Roll Scroll Card
- Paper Toolbox Gift Card Holder
- Breakfast at Tiffany’s Invitations
- Owl Themed Invitations
