Rapunzel Braided Hair Monogram
I first saw this Rapunzel Braided Hair Monogram on Honeybee Vintage and thought it was an absolutely adorable idea to do for my best friend’s daughter’s fourth birthday party coming up. I had already made her Rapunzel invitations, Flynn Rider Wanted posters, and sun bunting, but thought this would be a great addition. Here is how I made it.
Materials:
- Canvas
- Purple Craft Paint
- Foam Paint Brush
- Yellow Yarn
- Ribbon
- Artificial Flowers
- Hot Glue and Glue Gun
I started out by painting my canvas lavender.
While it was drying, I made two large braids with yarn. The braid for the top of the “T” is longer than the bottom of the “T”. Your length will depend on the size canvas you choose. I tied each end with ribbon. I played around with the positioning of the braid and each flower before I broke out my glue gun. I changed my mind SO many times.
By the way, I purchased the flowers from the dollar store. They were hair accessories that I took the clip off of and the best deal I could find. The small flowers came in sets of two with extra bobby pins. Once I finally decided on where the braid and each flower and leaf went, I hot glued it all together.
Here are some photos. I hope Taylor likes it! She can even hang it in her room after the party.
Thank you to Honeybee Vintage for the original inspiration! Be sure to stop by and see all of her other amazing creations!
